Head of Acquiring Sales

At Wirecard North America, we are currently seeking energetic, motivated, growth oriented candidates to join our team.

Location: Conshohocken, PA

Your duties:

  • Help define our operating structure and target markets
  • Advocate for merchant needs
  • Lend industry expertise across functions to grow and develop the North America value proposition
  • Seek and close opportunities for merchant processing and value-added services for enterprise and SMB markets across a variety of verticals, with a key focus on the e-commerce channel
  • Fostering the relationship with our financial institution and other referral partners
  • Meet monthly and annual revenue goals by selling a suite of commerce solutions to our current and prospective merchant partners
  • Provide market expertise to shape current and future product offerings
  • Act as a consultant to identify market opportunities with new and existing merchants and portfolios
  • Analyze complex merchant processing scenarios to create customer comparisons and make recommendations
  • Make decisions regarding offered pricing, products, or discounts rates while maintaining profitability and service levels
  • Establish relationships with key internal business partners and provides overview of merchant opportunities including current partners, support options, cross-sell abilities and unique needs
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of products, value-added services and pricing models for targeted merchants and recommend additional products and services to complement existing businesses
  • Establish team benchmarks and training resources to ensure in-depth product knowledge and continuous improvement
  • Maintain an awareness of competitors' products and pricing, including new trends and developments in the industry
  • Act as a mentor to sales representatives(s) with less experience or in new markets

Your profile:

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, ideally with a focus on acquiring and associated services
  • Strong background in merchant acquiring and associated services with experience in e-commerce acceptance
  • Demonstrated track record of identifying growth opportunities, building teams, launching disruptive services, and creating breakthrough user experiences
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Marketing or other related field preferred
  • In depth understanding of the North American acquiring ecosystem, industry players and market trends
  • Expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Solid analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills to facilitate sound merchant relationships
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, employees, and merchants
